Objective

This course is intended for environmental professionals working in the assessment of off-site consequence analysis and risk management. At the end of the course, the trainee should be able to understand the basics of emergency dispersion modeling and to use screening and refined models to setup the Risk Management Plan. Case studies will be viewed at the course.

Course Instructor

Jesse L. Thé, Ph.D. is a mechanical engineer with 10 years of experience in air dispersion modeling and thermal fluid applications. Dr. Thé received his Doctoral degree in 1993 from the University of Waterloo where he worked with computational fluid dynamics and the numerical prediction of environmental fluids.  He is the president and founding partner of Lakes Environmental and has been a reviewer of the US Environmental Protection Agency APTI Courses. Dr. Thé is the main author of the commercial software packages ISC View, BPIP View, Screen View, SLAB View, and RMP Screen.
